What to do in Sydney autumn?

Posted on , in SYDNEY, by

Sydney is known for the sunny beach days during the summer. But this city has much more to offer in the other seasons as well.  So what is there to do in Sydney autumn? Here is our top five Sydney winter events. We want you to have a great time and get you to understand Down Under a little better.

First up is the Royal National Park. It’s our favourite park in the world and its Australia’s secret. You can visit this park every day and experience something new every time you visit. If you want to discover all you can about a bush environment, visit the Royal National Park on April 16th You and your kids are able to join the WilderQuest race and discover the parks mysteries. Fun guaranteed!

If you’re not much of a bush person, want to see more of Sydney and still go on a quest, go rhino spotting. Taronga Zoo has placed 125 wildly colourful rhino’s throughout the city. So get your bag, camera and binocular to go on this Sydney safari trail. Make sure you spot all of them before the 28th of April, after that you will not be able to spot them anymore!

After the rhinos it’s time for a bunny…Easter bunny that is! There are two fun events that are worth your visit. You can get in the Easter mood from April 10 till 23 April during the Sydney Easter Show. This Easter Show is bringing the country to the city. Taste Australia’s best products, carnival rides, over 14.000 animals on display and more. On Monday 21 of April you will be able to watch the Sydney Easter Parade. Enjoy the giant inflatables, animal costumes, marching band and many creative and colourful displays.

Sydney doesn’t just offer fun during the day time. If you are in Sydney between May 23th and June 9th than you have to see and enjoy Vivid Sydney! This annual event brings music and gives you spectacular light shows throughout the city.  We believe that it’s one of the most memorable events of the years.

Still want to explore Down Under further, than this is a great opportunity. You can watch Djuki Mala (Chooky Dancers). These performers will show you the Chooky’s unique physical language, acrobatics, dance and theatre. It’s the perfect way to learn about Australia’s rich cultural heritage.

  • We had the most amazing time with UDU in the Royal National Park, thank you to Andy, Lex, Dee, Dave, Ken, ‘Dad’ and Ann. Everything was so well organised and such good fun. The food was delicious…

  • Guides are very friendly and humorous, lunch was provided, BBQ, they make some decent BBQs. If you are going to somewhere famous but unfamiliar, just go with UDU!!

  • This was the last day of my Australia trip and probably the best day as well. Andy is nice, cute and handsome. (my family all agree that) Throughout the whole trip, we had lots of conversation over different topics. It’s interesting to learn more about the culture, life style, etc about Australia from Andy. The extra bonus for us was Andy took many beautiful pictures for us during the trip.

  • Can’t recommend this highly enough. Our tour guide, Andy, was superb. Very passionate and you could tell he wanted the group to have a great day. I went on three different day trips during my time at Sydney, and this one was the funnest with the canoeing and rough waters at Garie Beach.

    - Luke E

  • Loved everything about this retreat. Andy and the rest of the guides where very lovely and knew a lot about the national park. They show you some pretty cool places and get you involved in some cool activities…

    - Jayne - Sydney

  • One of the best tour one can do in NSW, had a great time in the Royal National Park with amazing views, different activities and a nice BBQ in the middle. Andy managed the trip perfectly and we managed to avoid the rain and have good weather in every stop!! Highly recommended to all. This was my second time to the Royal National Park with UDU, and hopefully not the last 🙂

  • A great way to unwind, soak up the sun and the splendour of nature and explore the luscious beauty of the Australian bush. If you’re a city slicker, leave the concrete jungle for the real one, just for one day…

  • First experience with UDU and got my mind blown away Trip was way beyond expectation. Andy is very informative and a funny guy. Of course the group dynamics I was with were good. All locations were covered!…
