SEA CLIFF BRIDGE
The Sea Cliff Bridge was completed in 2005 and has quickly gained popularity due to its graceful engineering and picturesque setting. Winding out from the coastal escarpment, it is the only bridge in Australia over an ocean. It is 665m in length, and costing AU$52m to build, has made the Grand Pacific Drive, undoubtedly, one of Australia's finest tourist drives. It has also reopened access to many coastal communties that were isolated for the two years between when the original section of Lawrence Hargraves Drive was closed due to dangerous embankment slips and rock slides, and the completion of the Sea Cliff Bridge.
