UDU reserves the right to cancel or change tours. A liability waiver must be signed upon departure.
GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Please call 0448 388 687 by 8pm the night before departure to reconfirm.
Fitness Requirements
UDU’s tours may be challenging and physically demanding for some people. It is therefore important that passengers have a reasonable level of fitness. Please take note of the distance and difficulty of each tour. Tours are modified to suit the ability of each group, if you are aged 15-65 and you are not unfit or don’t have any serious health problems, there should be no difficulties. If you have any doubts, please call UDU on 0448 388 687 prior to travel and we will do everything in our power to accommodate you.
Children
Children aged 2-5 are not permitted to travel with UDU (0-2 depends on tour). Children aged 6-15 (inclusive) must be accompanied by an adult and must be capable of completing the tour with minimal assistance from UDU staff. This is up to the discretion of UDU staff. Please check individual tour terms and conditions for tour specific information or contact us.
Weather Conditions
UDU does not take any responsibility for the weather, or outcomes that result from it. Day tours will usually always operate in all conditions. Your guide will do their best to ensure you have a great time, but it’s also recommended that you prepare accordingly and bring a sense of adventure. Cancellation/transfer fees and conditions apply if you choose to change your plan based on the weather.
However, UDU also reserves the right to cancel or amend tours due to adverse weather conditions.
Cancellations
If you chose to cancel your experience UDU does not offer refunds, unless otherwise stated below.
Transferring, exchanging
You are able to transfer, on sell, or exchange your booking (for a different UDU experience) for no extra cost. Over 7 days notice must be given when changing the date of a booking.
Conditions of travel
Understand Down Under (UDU) reserves the right to alter the route or itinerary of any of its tours and arrange alternative transport carriers to those advertised if necessary. No refunds will be given in these circumstances or in the event of any delay, curtailment or alteration of a tour resulting from any cause including severe weather conditions. UDU cannot guarantee pick-up or drop-off times and is not liable for passenger failure to connect with other services. UDU accepts no responsibility for loss of, or damage to, personal belongings or baggage.
Liability
Whilst UDU makes every effort to safeguard its clients, UDU cannot be held responsible for personal injury or loss due to events which are beyond its control. Passengers should note that adventure travel/ecotourism involves a higher than normal risk and a signed release will be required from all participants before tour departure. Furthermore, tours may include the services of transport providers and other operators, and UDU cannot be held responsible or liable for these.
Confirmation
Confirmation and final numbers by an ITO/wholesaler must be completed 7 days prior to travel
Payment
Due within 14 days of invoice. Monthly interest of 5% charged on outstanding invoices. Credit check and credit application form may be required.
SMALL PRIVATE TOURS
Deposit/Payment:
Full amount to be paid at time of booking.
Weather:
UDU takes no responsibility for the weather, or outcomes that result from it. Whilst Private tours can often be run regardless of weather, they are subject to cancellation due to weather to ensure your safety and approximately 4 days notice will be given. Normal cancellation/transfer fees and conditions apply if you choose to change your plans based on the weather.
UDU does reserve the right to cancel or amend due to adverse weather conditions. Refunds are not offered if a tour is cancelled/postponed due to weather.
‘No show’ fee:
Private Tours will incur a $50 no show fee if passenger/s is not present for the booked departure point and time. This fee will be paid the morning of re-booking/rescheduling. If passenger/s is unable to re-book or transfer than a 50% refund will be given.
Cancellation policy and options:
- Reschedule : Contact info@udu.com.au to reschedule for another date. Rescheduling is subject to availability and must be done 4 days prior to departure.
- UDU Credit: The price of the cancelled tour can be used as credit to reschedule a different UDU experience. No refunds are given and the difference must be paid.
- Transferring, exchanging: You are able to transfer, on sell, or exchange your booking (for a different UDU experience) for no extra cost. Over 7 days notice must be given when changing the date of a booking.
- 50% refund: If you are unable to reschedule, rebook or transfer then you are entitled to a 50% refund of the tour price.
Children:
Children of all ages can be accommodated for private tours however this must be cleared with UDU staff first.
LARGE CHARTERED TOURS
Deposit:
A 50% deposit is required for large bookings due to the preparation required; this deposit is non-refundable.
Weather:
UDU takes no responsibility for the weather, or outcomes that result from it. Whilst UDU guides will ensure you have a great time should the weather be a bit gloomy, Chartered tours are subject to cancellation due to weather to ensure your safety and approximately 7 days notice will be given. Normal cancellation/transfer fees and conditions apply if you choose to change your plans based on the weather. Deposits will not be refunded due to weather.
In the case of bad weather we’ll advise you of our contingency plans. Based on this, at your discretion the date can be rescheduled or the deposit can be used as credit towards another experience.

Whilst UDU guides will ensure you have a great time should the weather be a bit gloomy, Events are subject to cancellation due to weather to ensure your safety, and approximately 7 days notice will be given. Normal cancellation/transfer fees and conditions apply if you choose to change your plans based on the weather. Deposits will not be refunded due to weather.

RUNNING TOURS
Deposit Payment:
Full amount to be paid at time of booking. For private tours, booking is “pending” until a time, date and place has been agreed upon with UDU.

UDU takes no responsibility for the weather, or outcomes that result from it. Please prepare accordingly. Normal cancellation/transfer fees and conditions apply if you choose to change your plans based on the weather.
‘No show’ fee:
If not present for the booked departure, a $25 ‘no show’ fee will be charged per passenger, that must be paid before the rebooked departure.
Cancellation policy and options:
- Reschedule : Contact info@udu.com.au at least 24 hours in advance to reschedule for another date. Rescheduling is subject to availability, no refunds are given if a new date cant be arranged.
- UDU Credit: The price of the cancelled tour can be used as credit to reschedule a different UDU experience. No refunds are given and the difference must be paid.
- Transferring, exchanging: You are able to transfer, on sell, or exchange your booking (for a different UDU experience) for no extra cost.
Children:
Children of all ages can be accommodated for private running tours, however this must be cleared with UDU staff first.
