Title : Head Photographer
Description:
Andy has always loved the great outdoors. His main passion is simply enjoying the company of people from all walks of life, and from all over the world! His love for Sydney’s local secrets, and in particular the Royal National Park, will no doubt rub off on you. Andy has a particular interest in plants and bush tucker, enjoys helping you fit together the bigger picture themes such as the evolution of Australia.
Andy has been guiding with UDU since its beginning in 2006. He has been instrumental in the development of UDU’s tours, so he knows plenty of options to ensure you have the ideal day.
Andy has been guiding in The Royal National Park longer than any other professional Tour Guide.
Born and raised at Outward Bound, Andy has also spent a lot of time enjoying all of Australia’s diverse habitats. He aims to continue the journey with UDU, where ever that may lead.
Favourite guiding experience:
Too many to name, however after a great night Moonwalking, to watch the world wake up with the most beautiful sunrise shining through Wattamolla Lagoon, was absolute magic. It still gives me warm feelings of euphoria just thinking about it, and it was all the more special sharing it with fellow Moonwalkers.
Interesting fact:
The only native Australian plant that has been turned into a commercial crop internationally, is the Macadamia Nut
Quote/advice for travelling:
Absorb as much as you can, when you can, that’s what holidays are for. Experience new things and make great memories. The world is a beautiful place, especially when you’re close to nature, so let’s look after it and make the most of it.
