Not far from Sydney’s gorgeous harbour is Observatory Hill. This beautiful and soft peak lets you experience fantastic views of the harbour, often where you will find locals picnicking and native birds settling in the trees; a great place to start the day!
We then come down to the harbour to get up and close with the Opera house and great views of the harbour bridge and a feel for the exclusive bay side atmosphere. Another great photo opportunity and the perfect way to see some of the biggest sites that Sydney has to offer.
Not far from the Opera house we find ourselves in the tranquil Botanic Gardens. The native and introduced plants form interesting and beautiful gardens, and the paths that weave around them provide a fantastic walking opportunity to see the amazing flora and native fauna that flocks to the natural reserve.
Nestled in the Gardens is the historic Lady Macquarie’s Chair. The beautiful carved rock chair was etched out of a rock ledge for governor Lachlan Macquarie’s wife, Elizabeth, as she was known for spending much time in the beautiful gardens enjoying panoramic views of the harbour. As we get an up close look we learn about the chair and its historic presence.
As we make our way towards the South Head Peninsula we find ourselves in Watsons Bay. Watsons Bay is a harbourside eastern suburb of city which boasts and exclusive beach, with views across the harbour to the Sydney harbour bridge and ‘The Gap’ ocean cliff with incredible views of the Pacific Ocean and Manly. The cliff itself displays some of the most incredible rock formations on the eastern coastline.
The infamous Bondi Beach is the namely the most famous beach in Sydney and all of Australia, with amazing water views, great swimming, surf and beach side activities, Bondi is a great place to be and experience.
Centennial Park is one of Australia’s most famous Parks and is listed on the Register of the National Estate. With Federation Pavilion, the Grand Drive and beautiful parklands full of natural assets Centennial park is a great place to visit. We will take you through the park, show you the highlights and the best of what the locals know about the interesting history it holds.
